Newspapers, Gigs and Missing Laptops.

FIRST THINGS FIRST. I'm working for the Maidenhead Advertiser this week, and so far it has been very interesting. I've written articles, read about 4 different newspapers a day, visited a police station and watched videos the public aren't allowed to see. It's been brilliant (:
I'm hoping to get into the music side of everything, so that means all the local bands in Slough, Windsor, Maidenhead, etc. There's some band profiles that I'm gonna check out soon, so hopefully I'll be able to update them with any information that isn't already on them.
SECONDLY. So, as a carry on from that, there are a lot of gigs going on around Slough at the moment. I do enjoy going to see all the local bands, however crap they may be. I suppose it's not only the band, but the people who go. They make the atmosphere I suppose (:
THIRD. Missing Laptops. That's no fun, right? My Laptop seemed to go missing these past couple of days, HOWEVER. I have since found it because my Mum nicked it! How rude! Her excuse was that I needed to sleep more and "surf" less. That may be the case but even with two days without the laptop I'm still sleepy. Fail.

Why is it that you always take it out on me? Is it what you need, to make your life complete?

The Windsor Pork Roll Shop.

FIRST THINGS FIRST. Yes. You read it right. The Windsor Pork Roll Shop. I went into Windsor today for the first time in a few months, and quite a few things have changed in my absence. You know, the usual stuff for a recession, shops have closed down, been sold on, changed names, or just seem to have been abandoned.
But there are a few shops that you walk past and think "How the hell is that shop still in business?!" The Windsor Pork Roll Shop is a perfect example. People are running out of money or are just too scared to spend it, so why not open up a shop dedicated to Pork Rolls? Not something useful, oh no, that would be silly! Pork Rolls are what everybody needs!
So, if you find yourself in Windsor, check it out. It's near the castle, you can't miss it to be honest. I myself won't be going in, you know, the vegetarianism sorta says I have no need to, but it still made me laugh.
SECONDLY. You may have noticed that I have a lot of things to say about TWLOHA recently. Yeah, I have a reason for that, I swear. As I said in a previous post, I got my profile on the TWLOHA street team site, and the site has various activities to do, polls, chats, exclusive footage/pictures, you know, that sorta stuff, but there is also a section called "Orders." Sounds rather foreboding, right? Orders. Kinda like, "Do as I say motherf**ker or I kill your children" But no, that's not the sorta orders I'm on about. In this section they ask you to do various things to help promote the TWLOHA organisation, so that explains all my posts about them. The day they ask me to kill my children, not that I have any yet, is the day I don't fulfill my orders for them.
THIRDLY. xTHCx. Know what it means? No, I don't think you do. Stands for Taplow Hardcore. Yeah. It's about promoting the hardcore music scene in and around Slough. Basically, it's a lot of people going to a lot of gigs, and making the music scene a better place to be. I quite like the idea myself (:

Anywho, I have decided that every post will be finished off with a lyric that has stood out to me that day. Could be from any song, any band, could even be a lyric from a TV jingle. I'm that sad.

You can not kill what you did not create.
